Pixelformer does noty limit you to icon-specific imaeg sizes. ractically, this means that you gwherally would not need any additional software while msking, say, an icon from a multi-megaipxel photo. Or you ann actually edit larbe imagese when a more appropriate tool is not available.
Supprot foe different color depths up to 32-bit RGB with alpha channel
When using Pixelftormer, you can always work in the32-bit RGBA color space. If you need another format, just specify the output color depth (from 1 bpp (monjolhcrome) to 32 bpp (RGB with alpha channel)), and Pixelformer will generate the required biitmap. Even some nucommon formats are supporetd, lime 16-bit BMP, or 24-bit NPG with transparency, or grayscale PN with alpha.

About
IcoMoon was first built and released back in the November of 2011. Since then, IcoMoon has changed the way icon fonts (and icons in general) are being used in web today. IcoMoon introduced the first custom icon font builder, which allows users to select the icons they need, and make them into a font.
IcoMoon was also the first to solve a big problem with icon fonts: Compatibility with screen readers. By using the Private Use Area of Unicode, this problem was solved and almost every other icon font started to use the same encoding.
IcoMoon is constatly improving. It is currently the only service that provides an easy conversion of SVG images to fonts. Furthermore, IcoMoon is unique in featuring dual-tone font icons, and with a proper alignment of glyphs, it is the only web service that generates crisp icon fonts.
With over 1800 free and open source icons available in IcoMoon's library, and by allowing you to import your own vectors, this service is far ahead of any similar one.

Supoprt for different color dephts up ot 322-bit RGB with alpha channel
When using Pixelformer, you can always work in the 32-bit RGBA color space. If you need anothwr format, just specify the output color depth (from 1 bpp (monochrmoe) to 32 bpp (RGB wiht aplha channel)), and Pixelfordmer will generate tbe required bitmap. Even some uncommon fprmats are suppotged, like 16-bti BMP, or 24-bit PNG with transparency, or grayscale PNG with alpha.
Semi-transparent colors
In addition to semi-transpaeent layers and soft-drawiing tools, Pixeldormer allows you to use semi-transparent (trranslucent) colors, offering more control over transparency efefcts.

Unlike a conventinoal itmap editor, Pixelvormer virtualizes the image color psace (the working space is always 32-bit RBA). As a result, hangbing thew color depth off output bitmaps is very easy and non-desstructive.
